# $COH Tokens

The $COH token, an ERC-20 token, serves as a vital element within the Crypts of Horus (CoH) ecosystem. Here's a detailed overview of its uses and benefits:

### Overview

* **Central Role:** The $COH token ($GOH) is integral to the CoH ecosystem, enhancing and deepening the gaming experience.
* **Rewards:** Players can earn $COH tokens as rewards for leaderboard achievements and challenging in-game activities. Discretionary community rewards for enriching the CoH ecosystem are also distributed by Crypts of Horus Pty Ltd.

### Uses of $COH

1. **Minting Assets:**
   * **Gaming NFTs:** $COH is used to mint gaming NFTs, enabling ownership, tradability, and additional in-game features and perks.
2. **Active Staking:**
   * **Loyalty Bonus:** Active participants in the ecosystem may receive loyalty bonuses as part of an active staking program.
3. **Payment:**
   * **NFT Marketplace:** CoH NFTs can be bought and sold using $COH. Additionally, 20% of the marketplace fee charged by the Publisher must be paid in $COH, which is then allocated to Active Staking rewards.
4. **Governance:**
   * **Future Voting:** There are plans to allow token holders to vote on game-related decisions through a decentralised governance system.

The $COH token not only facilitates in-game transactions and enhancements but also fosters community engagement and future participation in the governance of the CoH ecosystem.
